Online 101 Fundamentals
This course is focussed on what you need to know to comply with the Part 101 rules for drone operations in New Zealand.

Night Rating
The night rating is for a person who intends to fly unshielded at night, whether under Part 101 or Part 102.
The theory component of our Night Rating course is available as a self-paced online module. This means you can work through the theory whenever it suits you.
After you have completed the online module you will proceed to a practical flight assessment with one of our instructors.
Both the theory and practical requirements must be passed to obtain the night rating.
This course reflects the latest changes introduced in CATI 101-1.
Flight Test

Initial Flight Test
If you have completed a theory-only course then you will also need to complete a Flight Test to obtain the UAS Remote Pilot Certificate.

SMS for RPAS Operators
A 2-day course covering the essentials of Safety Management System (SMS) for operators of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems.
Based on the SMS in Practice course that has been offered to certificated operators in the traditional aviation sector, this course is tailored to the needs of RPAS operators who do not have a regulated requirement for a full SMS.
SMS for RPAS Operators is particularly suited to larger organisations, but can also be helpful for smaller organisations looking to improve their safety management.
*This is not a scheduled course. It is one that is available on request if there are sufficient numbers.
